Privacy Policy

While you are building your biodata, nothing you type leaves your browser. Your draft is stored on your own device and is deleted when you close the tab.

Your details are sent to us only if you choose to buy a download — and then only so we can produce that file and support you afterwards.

The names, photograph, family details, contact details and horoscope data you enter are held in your browser's session storage. They are scrambled so they are not casually readable, they are never sent to us, and they are cleared automatically when you close the tab or window.

Your photograph is deliberately never saved even locally, because of its size — if you reload the page you will need to add it again.

You can clear everything at any time using “Reset Form”, or “Clear all saved data” to wipe every language's draft.

At the moment you start checkout, and not before, the biodata you have built is sent to our server and stored as an order. This is what lets us generate your file, confirm your payment, and help you if something goes wrong.

An order record contains: the biodata content you entered (including your photograph, contact and birth details), the template and language you chose, the email address you give at checkout, the amount paid, and a payment reference from Razorpay.

Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay. Your card number, UPI ID, net-banking credentials and similar details are entered on Razorpay's own secure checkout and are never sent to, seen by, or stored on our servers.

We receive only a payment reference, the amount, and the status of the payment. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.

Order records are kept for as long as we need them to support your purchase and to meet Indian tax and accounting obligations, which generally means up to 8 years for the transaction record.

You may ask us to delete the biodata content of your order sooner. We will do so, keeping only the minimal payment record we are legally required to retain.

We do not sell your personal data, and we never share your biodata with other users, matrimonial services, advertisers, or data brokers.

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the site: Razorpay for payment processing, and our hosting and database providers, who store the data on our behalf under contract.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are popular. This is aggregated and does not identify you.

Our servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply.

When you enter text in a non-English script, the transliteration suggestions are provided by Google Input Tools, which receives the characters you are typing in that field.

When you enter a birth place, the city lookup is performed by Open-Meteo's geocoding service, which receives the place name you type.

Neither service receives your complete biodata.

We use only the cookies needed for the site to function. Razorpay sets its own cookies when the payment window is opened, which happens only if you begin a checkout.

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted.

Free Biodata for Marriage is intended for adults preparing a marriage biodata. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated.
